Wait, Wait, Fixate

OFFICIAL OPEN CASTING CALL FOR “CALL ME MAYBE” REMIX MUSIC VIDEO AT ANTHROCON

HELLO, BIG BRIGHT INTERNET WORLD. As most of you know, Anthrocon is next weekend. While there, I intend to shoot a music video for a Trance remix of Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe, which can be heard here (feel free to listen while you read): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WR6qBnsNgyg

THE PREMISE OF THE VIDEO

It’ll begin in a bathroom, either public or someone’s hotel room (the latter if the former isn’t feasible), with me waking up like a skanky-ass mess, while the sink drips to the beat of the opening. After a moment, I wake up, wondering what the hell happened last night, and stumble out to the Steel Plaza fountain, looking at a picture of a guy I took last night on my phone, wondering where he went. As I flip a coin into the fountain (“I threw a wish in the well”), the guy appears from across the way, and waves and smiles. However, instead of coming over, he urges me to follow him with a wave of his hand. A quick ten or seconds are spent doing so, before the camera ends up in the David Lawrence Convention Center.

I look around confused as I ascend the escalator, which is when the build up to the chorus is happening, finding a piece of fuzz taped to the escalator coming down with a note attached to it, before suddenly a fursuitter pops out, only to reveal a whole swarm of them. The chorus kicks in, and I’m transported through the magical world of funny animal people. The camera might go through a variety of places, like the Dealer’s Den (if they let us!), down the walkway that overlooks the Dealer’s Den, and maybe out onto the grassy terrace on the third floor. Ultimately, at the end of the video, I find the guy from before in one of the fursuits, and the video ends with us walking around Pittsburgh at night all gleeful and such, before cutting back to the dripping sink, and cutting to black.

WHO DO I NEED FOR THIS VIDEO

-Someone charming to play the lead dude.

-A bunch of fursuit dancers (I understand there’s a bunch of music videos being made with the dancers at this con, so anyone who can spare themselves, it’d be greatly appreciated!)

-And someone to film the whole thing (I’ve got the equipment, now I just need someone with eyes and hands!)
